Government to shorten quarantine and isolation period to seven days
The Estonian government has decided that starting from 10 January, the period of quarantine for those in close contact with people infected with coronavirus, the period of self-isolation required of travellers returning from abroad and the period of simplified quarantine for minors shall be shortened from 10 days to seven. Those in close contact with infected people are nevertheless strongly advised to pay close attention to their health and to take all measures to reduce the risk of infection between the seventh and 10th days. There remains no requirement for those who are fully vaccinated or who have contracted and recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months to self-isolate, although again, it is strongly recommended that close contacts keep an eye on their health.
