Norway to accept COVID-19 certificates from England and Wales from 12 August

Norway will accept the English and Welsh NHS COVID Pass from 12 August at 3 pm, which is when the solution to verify the QR code in the NHS COVID pass will be rolled out at the border.

Global travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be extended until 1 September

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is extending its global advice against non-essential travel to all countries with the exception of the EU/EEA countries, Switzerland and the UK.

Becoming the world’s most sustainable data center nation

The Government is today presenting an updated data centre strategy entitled "Norwegian data centres – sustainable, digital power centres". The strategy, which launches a number of measures to contribute to sustainable growth and job creation in Norway, is part of the Government's commitment to digitalisation and the data-driven economy.

Norway to end evacuation operation in Kabul

The evacuation operation has been led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with other relevant ministries, the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Norwegian police, the immigration and health authorities, the child welfare services, the Office for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufetat), the Directorate of Integration and Diversity (IMDi) and Ullensaker municipality. Close cooperation has also been established with other relevant allies and the Georgian authorities.

New shipment of seeds to Svalbard Global Seed Vault

This week, more than 30,000 additional seed bags from five continents were deposited for safe storage in the seed vault on Svalbard. It is the largest seed deposit since the pandemic was confirmed.
