The Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento organized the 11th annual California-Mexico Advocacy Day in the Capitol. This year, it was a weeklong event to raise awareness of issues of common interest to the relationship between Mexico and California.
Today in San José, Costa Rica, within the framework of the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member Countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA), a bilateral meeting was held between the Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard and his American counterpart Antony Blinken.
The Latin American countries explained their national initiatives for addressing and preventing corruption, and how they have implementing good practices for fair and equitable public management.
The Foreign Ministry will print out the criminal background records for individuals applying to become naturalized Mexican citizens to simplify the process.
The event was led by Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and moderated by IMR Director General Alejandro Alday. The president of El Colegio de México (Colmex), Silvia Giorguli; Ambassador Roberta Lajous and Colmex Academic Coordinator Paolo Riguzzi also participated.
